I’m going after my destiny…

I’m going after my destiny, and nothing will stop me. I will go no matter what obstacles I face, for my yesterday will not hinder my tomorrow or reward it. God is moving, he wants us to dream big and go after it. He will be there.

My dream seems to be moving away, getting further from me; but the truth is my impatience often gets in the way. Today doesn’t look like I had envisioned it, the place I seek seems to have moved. I have to make sure that as I run, I run with someone or something that has more than me. I often seek the approval of others, others that often have less than I.

Our enemy, the real one and the imaginary one, will tell me I’m not progressing, that my dream was just that, a dream. This is the place that I have to believe in my dream, my vision, and it must be bigger than what I can accomplish; that I may desire it above all else. I must out run my enemy, pursuing my dream no matter what. The mountain that looks so big is just an illusion, if I’ll get up each day and run toward my dream.

The dark waters are calling to me, my heart pounds as I realize how small I seem. But my God created the very thing I can only stand and admire. If I must cross it, He will make a way, so I’ll run with Him.

I’ve declared this is a new season for me, my family and my church. But that doesn’t mean anything unless I pursue it. There will be days when it looks like my yesterday was better than today, that’s just natural. But everyday has a way I can move my dream forward, it may just be a post like this, or I may get a thousand clicks on my website. The trick is to never settle on today’s progress, get up and push.

Like the song OCEANSWHERE FEET MAY FAIL, the presence of our Savior will give us strength, give us faith, making our faith and believe stronger; helping me to keep going. I’m running with someone who has more than me. The more I run with Him the further I am away from the things of yesterday and the closer to the vision.

So today I choose to keep running after my dream, to make a difference in this world. To be a light of hope for others. God has given us all a vision, a way to make a difference, no matter how small or big…. I choose big, so God will have to help me. How about you, do you have a dream, a vision?

This site has a link to St. Judes, I hope you’ll check it out. My dream is a world where children are no longer sick and no longer trafficked. It’s a dream far larger than I, but not my God.
