A friend, God is all these and more. He’s everything you need, want or hope He is, and so much more. To me, and I love Him for all those qualities, first and foremost I love Him for being my companion. The very thing He wants from us fulfills me the most, spending time with Him.
He has been with me through thick and thin, He hasn’t always eased the way, but He was always with me. That gave me hope, a knowledge that it would be alright. True conversion allows us to see past all the laws and misbeliefs. God is working all things out to the good of those called according to His purpose. Companionship in the eternity to come-and now!
Recently (last eight years or so) my wife Kathy and I have prayed that God surround our family in South Carolina with godly people. We learned a month ago they were moving to Michigan, to be near the rest of the family. Prayer answered, even better than we had asked, now we must be godly.
Don’t give up on your prayers, desires or dreams. Pray, pray, pray. God always answers the prayers of His companions, the truly converted, just not always in the form, or time, we expect or perceive to be best.
